Professionals to maintain patient comfort and safety
Certified Nursing Assistants are care professionals whose main objective is to ensure patients’ comfort and safety. They have undergone training to help medical professionals offer patient support like transferring or assisting patients with ambulation. CNAs may also be trusted to ensure that patients’ personal care and hygiene are maintained. Depending on the level of support patients require, they may provide bathing, dressing, and grooming assistance. They may also assist with toileting and accompanying patients when they exercise and offering medication reminders.
